Reading

Students should read for at least 15-20 minutes each night. Please use the Reading Log sent home each month to record the minutes your child has read and return at the end of each month. For independent reading, students should choose a book at their reading level. If you are having trouble finding the right book, please ask me!

Math

Refer to our communication sheet for our weekly math focus and feel free to extend on any of those math concepts. Other math assignments and games with be sent home periodically for extra practice. Playing board games is a great way to reinforce 1st grade math concepts and spend quality time together!
